It had been a night more or less like any other save for
two small details. Firstly it was their second year anniversary. Josh
had taken his wife Mary out for a meal at a new restaurant in town
which had been a nice and a relaxing evening for the couple. He could
not help but wish the evening he had proposed two years ago had been
something more like this night.

The young woman plays with the
strand of light hair that had escaped her braid as she sips at her
espresso lazily. No matter how hard she tries to get every piece
neatly in the braid, there were always some stubborn pieces.

The Purgatory bar, a place that never
even bother to think about sleeping. Especially not in this time of
war. Hard music beat against the reinforced walls of the Citadel
station relentlessly, like waves beating against distant shores.
Flashes of lights covered the whole place in more colors than any one
species could identify even with their naked eyes. And as always,
masses of people drank, talked and danced almost incessantly. There
