For the past couple of nights I had
been hearing something outside my house in the woods. It made a din
as it trotted along the forest floor and once even began scratching
at my door. The next morning I found gigantic claw marks along the
wood. They looked like bear marks but were a lot larger. Every time I
heard it I would look out and try to get a glimpse of it, but I never

It is a Thursday night and I only
had one class today which ended at 6 p.m. I was quite happy to get
out and felt even more relieved knowing that I didn't have work
tonight and that classes for me started at 3 p.m. the next day so I
could stay up pretty late. When I got to my dorm I found a note from
my roommate saying that he was at a party and would probably crash
there for the night meaning that I had the room all to myself. My
