When consuming a meal that's as mana-rich, especially one like an accomplished mage, there can be a lot of weird effects on a fae creature's body that are largely mana themselves. Unexpected growth in places, excessively violent expulsions of extra magic, evolution in some cases..
It's not often such small monsters can get a meal like this down, so while the effects aren't properly researched, it's advised to keep your distance from any fae. Especially if they don't seem immediately harmful, because that's when they're the most dangerous. Of course, most researchers that have tried to learn more about these fantastical beings go missing within short order, so the reports may never truly be complete..
