Stop motion animated short from 1992 based on a children's book about a mouse who is caught by a weasel and pulls a Scheherazade maneuver by stalling his being cooked by berating the weasel that he does not have the right ingredients... and telling stories to stall for time.

some of the best stop motion from that time I've seen and the weasel little song at the end always crack me up.XD "Except fer that DOG GONE MOUSE!!" *howls in rage while crashing around*

Mouse voiced by Buddy Hackett no less. And Will Ryan as the Weasel. Yes. The voice of Frog in the stop motion series Frog and Toad are Friends. And bemusingly, Ralph the mouse in the stop motion Mouse.
