Neil crept through the forest with determination, he pushed aside brush as silently as he possibly could while scrutinizing the forest floor for the slightest sign of movement. It was already approaching noon and so far Neil’s hunt, which he had started before dawn, has been unsuccessful. Prey has been shockingly scarce as of late, and whatever creature Neil did find either was too large for him to take on by himself or was alerted to his presence before he could ambush his potential meal.
Neil so far has found only frustration and growing discomfort from his equally frustrated and empty stomach, he was ready to call it quits and go home before wasting any more nutrients and energy on this preyless venture. By his own estimates he probably still had two or three more days before bad things truly started to happen as a result of his hunger, although not ideal he could just bear the emptiness for a little while longer before trying to hunt again the coming night.
Just as the arpine turned around to head back home his sensitive hearing picked up on small footsteps to his east. Neil sniffed the air and indeed picked up a creature’s scent, it wasn’t a creature he was familiar with, but it was something living nonetheless. From what he could make out with his hearing his new target was small, land-bound, and slow moving. It was perfect.
Neil followed the scent trail to a wall of shrubs: behind which was a clearing in the woods. Neil pulled back the shrubs and saw two strange small creatures munching on some mushrooms that grew next to a fallen log in the clearing. Neil indeed did not recognize these creatures, they appeared to be half covered in fur and half covered in armored scales, they also had horns on their faces, webbed feet, and long rabbit-like ears. They were definitely not a critter Neil had ever seen.
Neil observed the silly creatures for a bit. What intrigued him the most is that these creatures did not seem to notice his presence, perhaps their hearing was not as good as their long ears would suggest, and as he watched them mindlessly stumble around he also figured they were not that smart either. Neil’s interest and curiosity were definitely strengthened by these curious beings but his appetite was still much stronger, and so he decided to not further hesitate to make his move.
Neil leapt out of the bushes and landed on top of the smaller orange creature. As he righted himself he picked the creature up and stared at it with a hungering gaze while licking his drooling chops. The creature only ever resisted by randomly swiping at the air with it’s forepaws, something that wouldn’t help it as Neil opened his gaping maw wide and slipped the creature in rear paws-first. He chewed on the creature lightly as he slowly swallowed it in making sure to taste every bit of it savoring the experience. The creature tasted lean and leathery, and kinda fishy too, definitely something he’d note for later. With one last gulp he sent the creature on a one-way-trip down into his empty gut, he then gave his still-flat belly a quick pat as he let out a gentle burp.
Neil’s stomach finally stopped it’s complaining after receiving it’s meal, but his long-running appetite still wasn’t fully satisfied. He turned his attention towards the larger blue creature, which upon witnessing the demise of it’s companion responded by a pathetic and clumsy attempt to escape. The blue creature stumbled into rocks and logs before finally tripping over itself and face-planting into the grass.
Neil grabbed the creature just as he had it’s predecessor but this time jammed it head-first into his wide drooling maw. He once again chewed on and tasted the creature as he swallowed it to take in it’s taste and texture. This one tasted fatty and juicy just like it’s plump appearance would suggest. He too sent it down his throat to join it’s companion in his digestive tract. His belly swelled slightly in response to his second serving, he would then give his belly some loud pats with both his hands and let out a satisfied burp.
Neil had finally gotten his meal he searched long and hard for. Due to being low on energy from the long hunt he decided against going home right away and opted to rest and allow his food to settle, digest, and nourish him a bit. Neil picked a tall rock at the tree line to recline against. Neil sat down against the rock, gave his ass a small scratch, and rested one hand on his filled belly as he finally started to feel the pull of some much-needed sleep.

The orange female skyield looked around at the fleshy room she found herself encased within. Slime and mucus clung to her while her fur was wet with saliva and various other fluids. She prodded the fleshy wall with her front paw. “Woaah,” she said, “this feels like, totally real.”
She and her partner had spent the day experimenting with the various native mushrooms of the lands surrounding their clan’s encampment. Throughout the day she had experienced many different states of awareness and consciousness along with her partner: her most recent “trip” manifested itself as a towering predator that had swallowed her whole, something that was rooted in the primal fears of all Skyields but it was just a bad trip, right? Right?
The female skyield heard slimy squishy sounds from overhead and looked up to see her partner drop in through the opening in the ceiling of the chamber who then splashed down head-first into the pool of juices and liquids that partially filled the room. The space within the fleshy prison suddenly became a lot more constricted and constrained with the blue male skyield’s arrival. The male then twitched his limbs slightly, finding himself hard to move between his partner and the churning walls.
“This is like… a totally bad vibe, man” the female skyield commented. Her partner only responded with a gurgling noise and dance of bubbles as he attempted to utter slurred words from beneath the level of the rising liquid.
Unfortunately for the young skyield couple the experience was very much real. But perhaps their prevailing state of shroom-fueled obliviousness was for the best.

Personal vore scenario, story, and art I made using my OC: Neil Vortex the Arpine (my original species) and two random skyields (Forgotten-Midgard from FurAffinity’s original species) who’s names are not important. I wanted to try out x-ray cutaways and multiple prey so this is what I came up with.
In the middle of working on this piece me and Forgotten-Midgar were joking around about a Skyield hippie clan that always is trying to get high and believes in new age crystal magic and pseudoscientific quantum woo. And thus I had the source for my two unfortunate victims for this piece.
Also this was the first time I did a fully-shaded drawing of Neil. I also never drew him with his amulet before but it is a canonical part of his design.
