Jack takes her job as the Velvet Maw's head of security very seriously. She's harsh, but fair... She won't send you down her gullet to certain doom just because you misbehaved once, she'll give you a warning first. Pick up your act and stop being a douchebag, and you won't have anything to fear from her...

...Ignore her warning and mistake her fairness for weakness, however, and you'll soon find out exactly why other folks who previously got a warning from her are among the club's most well-behaved patrons. Because they know what happens to those who take her warnings lightly...

Really, it's pure pragmatism after all.

She can either trust that they indeed won't cause trouble again, even though they already lied about it once...

...Or she can make sure they won't, and get a free meal out of it in the process.

No points for guessing which option she always takes.

When I first discovered Korrie's art, my first thought (well, besides "damn, this is good !") was "damn, I need to get a commission from this guy !"

And, a couple weeks ago, I got to do just that.

It was around the same time I asked Marett for a commission, and in both cases, I went with the same concept : Jack doing her job as a bouncer, and swallowing two troublemakers at the same time.

It's more cartoony in this case; the design of the first panel was actually Korrie's own idea (my first instructions were more similar to what can be seen on Marett's pic), and I decided to just run with it because, well... Throat bulge, y'know ? Besides, I figured it'd help both commissions feel more distinct despite having the same base idea.

You can expect to see more Jack art very soon... Marett and Korrie both did a great job, but there's a third player about to make his mark~
