This commission brought back memories of my neighbor's horse named Boy. The neighbors did not look after him very well; he was thin and constantly hungry. At the same time, he was still beautiful: I really liked his black color. I often fed him cabbage and other vegetables over the fence and stroked his nose.
This is such a sudden story without ending :D

There's something about horses as preds that I just adore. At least part of it is from the sheer irony of them being herbivorous companions to humans. Despite how big and powerful as they are, they're simply beneath suspicion.
Someone went missing? The horse suddenly gained weight? Two completely unrelated events that nobody would think to connect in any way. Life goes on, nobody any the wiser :)
