I mentioned in Lailah's piece with the Crystal Slug that in that instance Lailah was simply having an awful dream. This is evidenced by the fact that she isn't wearing her trademark golden shackles on her wrists and arms. While those parts of her body aren't visible in this drawing, she isn't wearing them here either. This, too, is a dream. Lailah is haunted by a lot.

Vindessa haunts Lailah a lot.
