Octavia is with her dad for the weekend, unfortunately he's a bit too distracted with his drama with Blitz to pay attention to her, or his hungry carnivorous plant. What's the worst that can happen?

Octavia is technically 17 in canon, but I imagine her to be 18 in this story and just still living with her parents, splitting her time between the two of them.
