IIRC hair is pretty resilient towards digestion. It also makes skulls more recognizable.

actually hair can't be digested hence why there's always hair on the skulls :)

The biggest thing is: I do it when I feel like doing it LOL. In this case, the hair was good to pull the skull out (which of course does not work like that as hair is not attached to the skull but it IS vore, so...)
