Imagine that you had eaten so many people that even your own stomach was unable to digest them and the body of the prey begins to decompose due to indigestion and it only makes things worse :^

I think about that basically every time I read or write multi-day digestion. I mean, meat goes bad pretty fast, especially when it's somewhere hot... like a belly...

Warm and wet, ideal conditions for accelerated putrefaction.
Although of course, the only solution would be for gastric juice to be more intense and capable of disintegrating the meat before most of it decomposes.
And if it were to decompose, it would not be a problem because the acid is strong enough to eradicate any infection (like the digestive system of scavengers).
Of course it increases appetite and metabolism, the body becomes slimmer and other things...
But hey! At least you don't suffer from indigestion anymore xd
