Without Astral Vehicles, the militaries of the group known as the godsheart would have definitely lost the war against the beastman ages ago. Although the magical laboratory required to create them is exceptionally dangerous and thus not kept near population centres, and almost invariably run by elves.

And thus rarely has to deal with proper culture shock the way Hallhand finds himself doing!

This isn't a connection I find myself doing very often, haha, but I did have fun with having these two interact. Honestly, the story wandered in a very different direction than I expected as they are wont to do, but that's fine as the interaction was the focus.
