11th of November 1918 was the day Poland reclaimed it's independence from Germany, Austro-Hungry, and Russia. For over 123 years these countries have ruled the lands they have stolen with an iron fist, doing all in their power to squash the very soul of Poland and destroy her people's spirits, root out their culture

Despite all their efforts, my ancestors have never lost their hope of a brighter tommorow, and when the opportunity finally came, they freed their fatherland from it's prison. The three powers collapsed at the end of world war one, paving a way for a new spring of liberty

Today, as our lives and freedoms are once again threatened by imperialistic ambitions from east and west, it is important to remember those who did not give up their fight, even when all odds seemed to align agaist them
