kinda took a while completing this one, it kinda carried over from the stream before the last one; done for SirHugsalot, another game design sheet thing, based off a game called Crosstown.
this was kinda tricky to come up with, the game inspiring it is kinda abstract; still was fun

so does the maze runner reform after being digested? how do they reform, like do they reform in the preds tummy and get spat out or have to go though the preds entire digestive system in order to reform outside of their rear?

I don't really have a clear image beyond "reforming, but changed in a way that is gradually lewder and more feminine," unfortunately

huh, maybe how it could also work is that when they get digested instead of turning into nutrients and fat they become a thick mush that then causes the pred to have to throw up the mush that then reforms into the prey while also stunning the pred, but each time this is done a bit more of the preds dna gets mixed with the preys dna, so if the prey gets eaten too much then they basicly become one of the preds permitly, or their dna gets too hard to recover and their fate is sealed as pred belly fat.

So basically, using the game itself as a reference, I call the system "reconstitution" - when you die, your body simply reconstitutes from errant particles (or matter, whatever have you). Nothing really dies in "Crosstown", it just gets eaten and then revives elsewhere. As for when the EXACT moment of the digestion the prey starts reconstituting, hmmm... I guess the moment they are fully digested? I'll think on it.
Just a little behind the scenes tidbit, in the game itself, if you beat all 40 levels without using a continue, you get a different ending. So I pictured that the player enters as a man, but upon "dying" (using a continue, mechanically), his gender flips. So I... "casually" mentioned this to Kiyoa, knowing full well what she would do. X3
But she is the one that added that the player gets curvier after each reconstitution, which I absolutely LOVED.

hmm, maybe i guess in this come theres still reconstitution but instead its the pred burping out the errant particles, and due to the prey having been mixed up with the preds acids i guess it alters their errant particles just enough that it flips their gender, and then later on starts to turn them into a monster girl. (i guess this means the game would have like 3 endings, one with using no contiunes where the player wins and stays a man, one where you use a contiune and they come home a woman, and one where you almost use all of your contiunes beating the game with one life left where you come home has a still sentient monster girl that doesn't want to wander the maze endlessly in a search for food.)

Ah, sorry, I really had to hunker down and parse out what you said.
I probably wouldn't have the burp be a factor, largely because I'm not into that (I generally don't eroticize any of the gaseous bodily functions, perhaps because I am a germophobe, though I imagine that there are nuances involved in such things). I do have the idea that at some point the player starts mutating beyond just curvature increase, which Kiyoa was already alluding to, separate from my influence. This is primarily lore bits, though, as I picture this stage being the sign that you are becoming immersed in the maze, starting to belong to it. Your idea is interesting, though moot since the game doesn't have limited continues, you can just retry at your leisure. Heck, beating a level allows you to skip it when starting up the game.
Though I guess it's a moot point, if we were to actually remake and vorize the game. XP

huh interesting. maybe instead of being burped out the plays errant particles just sorta, phase outside of the preds body while also being slightly altered, but the maze influencing the player sounds interesting too! maybe the "you stay in the maze forever" ending is got if you lose enough times in order to become the monster girl.

Ah, see, now that last part is something to consider! My initial thought was that canonically it takes several hundred times for a person to be altered enough to be stuck. Of course, that amount does not work in-game, so some time exchange will be needed. Of course, that assumes the game will cover that aspect to begin with. There would definitely need to be a difference between a direct parody arcade game, and something akin to an RPG using the game's mechanics. Ah, but that's just fantasy at this point. Games are fun to think about, but are rarely made.
