~Ha-ha~ Guess whose back Comrades? Long time no see! Can’t believe I finally made it back here! I missed you all so much!

You know what they say about the comebacks - the best way to make to do them is to do it with the flash! And well, what can be better for that purpose than making the biggest animation project I’ve made so far!

Comrades and Comradesess, allow me to present to you the most ambitious art project I’ve done so far - “The BIG Helper”! My biggest thanks to absolutely amazing NameTaken0 for his awesome work on sounds for this project! He helped me to make this project the best it can possibly be! Now, I believe I owe you an explanation of my whereabouts for such a long time, buuut let’s save it for some other post for those who really interested. If you one of them you can look it up on my recent updates on DA, but then again, there's nothing really interesting there. in any case we’re here not to discuss my problems but to enjoy looking at cute girls with big beautiful bellies! The point is - I’m back and ready for action!

Now enough sentiments!

I know that some of you might wanna know more about “what’s exactly happening there?”

Well there’s not much to talk about, cuz things pretty much explained in the animation, but there is still some interesting lore details about it.

First of all, as someone who read the MOLOT.CO lore before and got familiar with Milona a bit might be asking now: “Wait wasn’t she like in a marketing department or something? Why she’s working on conveyer belt right now?”.

If you one of these people – you have my sincere respect, it shows that you did your homework!

You see, the thing is, Milona, being one of the youngest bunch of Synthoids, currently on her “Job-Determination” stage - a
period when to the new bunch of Synthoids with an already formed base of knowledge, are given the opportunity to choose the type of activity where they could show their talents and find what they would like to do. It may include even the high status positions as well, since we appreciating skills more than status: if you’re able to the job the best - it’s yours.

Most often it doesn't take too long - from a couple of months to a year… but not then when it comes to Miliona and her airheaded klutz nature…

As you may have noticed, even in this animation, she often takes orders too… literally, which can cause difficulties, which prevents her from getting a good recommendation from her mentors and staying on one position for too long.

The longest time spent on the same job was in the Marketing department, since all she had to do was looking and testing the food and then tell which one she liked best. Sounds easy enough, right? What could possibly go wrong? Well… let me just say this – if you happened to be in charge of Milona in that situation, be sure to point on “what she need to eat” more directly, NOT just in the general direction of person who holds the samples…

Anyway, don't be surprised if you’ll see her in most unexpected positions and roles starting from the role of a waitress, an engineer, a nurse and ending even as an interrogator or even commissar. She might be just trying her best on the new place of work.

Now a part for those who’d like to know a little something the animation itself. I didn’t lie when I said it’s “the biggest and the most ambitious projects I’ve done so far”. You wouldn’t believe the amount of stuff I had to do for this one. Originally it was supposed to be just a light comic one-pager idea, which came to me around the last Christmas, but it ended up something much more ambitious – 1594 frames of animation (with some duplicates, but still), 1 min 47 seconds long, with various belly interactions and sound edit from the master of the sound! At first I just planned to make a belly part with no entering scenes, but my ambitions keep me going only further and further, so I did a simple slide show for the entering scene, but I know I could do better, so I animated them as well, then I decided to add more belly interactions, more emotions, the background movement, make several looped gifs on its base etc etc. There was even a chance for it to actually have a voice actors to voice the characters there, but we decided to keep this idea for some other time…


And man I never expected it that I manage to make 7 looped animations, but somehow I did it! I can’t say for sure, but I think I just sated a new record here - I honestly can’t remember if anyone ever did so much alts for an animation, but what do you think?

Ha-ha Anyway, I hope you like the final result! It took me about quite a while, not a whole year of course, if summarize about a month and a half or so, mostly because I had to refresh my memory on how to work in animation app, still had some other work to do, and because of all readjustments I mentioned earlier. I know it’s won’t pay off for all the time you had to wait, but I hope that at least partially it was worth it! From my side I can say that it was fun experience to work on this project and I certainly would like to make more animation in the future!
