Ok..... well we will use pi for a and 2 for n. Now pi we will estimate at 3.14 minus 1 for 2.14. So on one side we have 3.14 - the square root of 2.14 and take that all to the 1/2 power. On the other side we add the results. But heres the thing. The positive square root qnd negative will cancel each other out, and the two halfs will equal one. Therefore it will leave 3.14 to the 1 power which is the same as 3.14 which is the same as pi.




So it will always be an irrational number as a result.
