I don't make a habit of bringing back long dead characters, especially if they're a former member of a dynamic pair and their absence dramatically changed the other characters behavior and personality. In the case of Maize...She's "THE PARTY GIRL" the party never ends, Party Hearty, she doesn't want it to, as long as she keeps partying there's nothing wrong in her world. Pleasures unending and fun abound.
Giving Zach back at this point would turn her into a Doting, over protective Dog-mama because the world around her would chew him up and shit him out the moment she took her eyes off him, but such is Torros, everything eats everything else, and if you're not on somebody else's menu,they're probably on yours and no body bats an eye because everyone and everything consumes something to live and lives to consume something at their core to sustain themselves.

Consumption isn't murder, murder is a waste and is something you can be arrested for. Consumption being a broad term for personal bodily utilization of things for purposes as determined by the individual.

"If you kill it, you use it or else jail time."
There are other laws, rules, and infrastructure that make the whole world run smoother than pure pred/prey anarchy and chaos, but that's for another time.
