Yeah, wish it was more popular honestly. Same thing for this reformation idea.

The only similar thing that comes to mind are scenarios where reformations have limited uses or are somehow unavailable to only one person because allergies or something.

I find reformation as a concept really boring because it removes the thrill, so something like this is a great way to spice it up

Well as a fellow fatal enjoyer I can totally relate when you say reformation takes away the fun. Personally I only do reformation when it paves the way to a even more morbid fatal ending (eg. denied reformation, failed reformation, etc.), the ones you suggested are some great examples. Btw I think you will like the next part of this commission :)

Honestly it's not that uncommon or unpopular, just harder to categorize. I've seen more vore universes that treat reformation like a one-up or medikit in a nevertheless dangerous world, than ones where it just turns everybody into immortal demigods.

Whenever there is a trope that makes vore lighter (e.g. pleasant digestion, controllable acids, reformation) chances are there's a good amount of pieces that bring up the trope to then subvert it. I suggested a "forgot the reformer" scenario myself in the ideas thread. It's just that this kind of idea, of having lighthearted elements used to accentuate the dark, doesn't really get tagged so it's hard to look it up when you're craving it.

Shyguy9's comic The Massage, off the top of my head. ryanshowseason3's Healer's Humiliation. Ryanshow's work in general is the prime example of reformation settings having plenty of thrill. Annie's Anal Addition has a pred jabbing at the idea of pleasurable anal vore.

I also swear I once read an enemies to lovers story between Ridley and Samus, which ends with Samus letting herself be eaten and digested, then Ridley realizing he forgot to turn on the reformation machine and being left single and heartbroken. But I couldn't find it right now.

Maybe the "willing to unwilling" tag is good to find this kind of scenarios? Generally though, if you're okay wading through the happy stuff, most reformation settings and games include some permadeath or twists on reformation.
