A man just wanting to get some sleep is terrorized in the darkness of his room at night by a mysterious, beastly intruder.



This is thoroughly a self-indulgent wish fulfillment fic for me, filled with what scares me the most. Being alone in a dark place when you're suddenly attacked by something you can't even perceive. That moment of immediate violence is such a spooky concept for me.

So naturally, I made the stranger my favorite hellhound.


WARNING:

The past-tense portion of this fic involves non-consensual sexual acts and rough handling. It's where all the spicy stuff is. The stuff in the present tense is angst, drama and cozy fluff.
