Having finally gotten the chance to visit some friends they moved away from years ago, they leave the airport and make way into the urban center of town via rented car. They weren't necessarily expecting much activity in the suburbs around town, and the lack of people in the streets wouldn't be SO concerning, but-

None of the buildings had any of their lights on. They drive *around* the city for the longest time trying to gather if any of the buildings were on but, no? Total blackness, and of course considering their car wasn't going to be lasting much longer without a refill on gas, they were going to make the trek into this weird near-black space. The only other option was to die trying to hitchhike on some of the quietest roads they had seen in their life.

Driving into the midst of these dark highrises, they're immediately struck with the macabre sight of *skulls*, lots of them in fact. Strewn about everywhere, though in all honesty it's hard to see with only their headlights contrasting so heavily with their surroundings. The buildings' various shadows certainly weren't helping visibility even with a slowly rising full moon, and they realized that even with GPS they had no idea how to navigate these blocks made so same-y with inky darkness. Eventually, their car loses gas, and their phone loses charge. They really kick yourself for not having gone to a hotel or something to recharge.

Left with no other options, they're now trekking around town with an emergency flashlight they never thought they'd have to use, walking freely around on the roads since there were clearly no cars besides the one they had just abandoned. And then- they see *a* light, albiet kind of brief. But it shows itself again, and they realize that that light, those lights? are- is? most certainly green, and no longer disappearing so frequently. Knowing that running away would do them no good in a place like this, and that their chance of calling for help was long gone a while ago, they walk closer.



Having seen someone she had apparently missed along the way, she grunts in mild frustration. Mostly because dealing with *only* a single person would usually be more trouble than they'd be worth. But hey, foods food!

okay well damn, i didnt really expect myself for having a writing kick as well. but i hope you enjoyed that page of story LOL. for context i had actually wanted to previously do this sequence before losing motivation, then suddenly i had picked up the project again (and redid everything lol) simply because i wanted to see a license plate come out her ass LOL
