Yes, Océane has a twin brother. I first conceived the character as her father, but on top of looking way too youthful to be a guy in his 50s, the fact that he also has almost the exact same face as hers makes it more fitting for them to be siblings.

It's funny when you think about it; on top of being the French word for sailor and an actual given name, "marin" roughly translates to "from the sea". Likewise, "océane" (also an actual given name) would translate to "oceanlike"/"from the ocean". So, both are perfectly fitting names for fish characters... But in-universe, from their own perspective, fish parents giving those names to their children is probably the equivalent of landlubbers calling their kid "Groundbert" or something :v
