Adventurers didn't fall into her realm often. Usually it was an opportunity to learn more about the world. To see how much that the civilised world had advanced in her absence.

It was a shame. There were over twenty of them. So many people to talk to, to learn about. Monica wanted to learn what motivated them. What kind of people they were. What made them be adventurers.

But they had to go and make the assumption that she was some malignant being sitting on a treasure trove, ready for plundering.

Life, however, is all about perspective. Monica's mood soon improved as she watched them scamper around. Watched their expressions grow concerned as their "high tech" ammunition did nothing against her body. How their formations broke when they fled. How their leaders began to panic and abandon the underlings that trusted them so much.

Monica was not a malignant being sitting on a treasure trove... but she could most definitely be a villain. There was something thrilling about embodying it all. The casual sauntering down the corridors of her castle, chasing the mice that scurried away from her. The looks of fear. The dramatic laughter. The hunt.

It was indeed, all about perspective. Monica's guests simply needed suitable accommodation. And Monica was having fun showing them to the right room.
