Taronasarus. Once a hybrid Dinosaur I made on Paint. Now has taken a more realistic look. I was very focused on it that it got finished within a day.
Info
Taronasarus is one of the few theropods in Farro that only have scales instead of feathers. Though they aren't apex predators, Taronasarus are still dangerous to travelers. Be they near their nest or if the Taronasarus is starving.
Taronasarus is an excellent ambush predator. Utilizing their skin as camouflage in the Shadowclaw forest, they also use their strong legs to propel themselves forward and their thick skulls to paralyze their prey in Drathscar Waste. The only reason the Taronasarus use their long arms and claws is for defense. Be it against other predators or intruders.
A Taronasarus nest is odd yet functional. Taronasarus builds the nest out of bones, sticks, leaves, and mud, making it easy for the eggs to incubate. The Taronasarus sometimes urinate around or even on the nest, giving it an awful odor. It's theorized that the Taronasarus does this to keep predators away from the nest while the mating pair is off hunting.
Due to poachers, a couple of Taronasarus are now roaming in Felarya. Like the Cinisraptors, the Taronasarus seem to haven't developed any unusual traits and acts as they do in Farro. But it's unknown how much they caused to the ecosystem.
But due to the action of the poachers, it's revealed that Taronasarus has special glands under its skin. These glands secrete a unique substance on their skin, which makes the Taronasaurs unable to get trapped by any form of slime, be it from a Slimoid or a Slug Girl. Many have tried to get this substance to no avail. Be it by killing or capturing the Taronasarus alive, the chances that these hunters can get these glands are small.
