The dense jungle pulsed with life, an orchestra of chirps, rustles, and distant growls echoing beneath the emerald canopy. Warm, golden sunlight filtered through the thick leaves, casting dancing shadows upon the twisting roots and ferns below. High in one of the great trees, a naga lounged lazily, her long brown serpent tail draped over a sturdy branch like an oversized hammock.

Kaagini, a creature both elegant and terrifying, idly stroked the iridescent feathers of a toucan that had decided to perch on her lap. Her dark complexion and flowing black hair blended effortlessly into the twilight of the jungle, the deep red of her top standing out just enough to break her silhouette. The only thing that truly gave her away was her golden, glowing eyes—an unfortunate feature when one wished to remain hidden. That was why, for now, she kept them closed, savoring the peaceful moment.

The jungle was alive around her. The roar of a river rumbled in the distance, mingling with the cackling of monkeys and the rustling of unseen creatures scurrying across the damp forest floor. Everything moved in a perfect, untamed rhythm—until something broke it.

Kaagini’s ear twitched at the sound of careful, deliberate footsteps crunching against the foliage below. Unlike the scampering paws and claws of the jungle dwellers, these steps had hesitation. Two human-like feet, she mused, lifting her head.

She let the toucan fly off, its colorful wings flapping as it squawked its goodbyes, and slithered down the great tree with effortless grace. Keeping to the shadows, she peered out, her sharp gaze locking onto a rather curious intruder.

The stranger wasn’t entirely human, though he looked close enough. He was small compared to her, with a lean build, short horns protruding from his head, and a tail swishing anxiously behind him. His wide eyes darted around nervously, clearly aware that he was in a place where he did not belong.

Kaagini’s stomach rumbled—not from hunger, but from remembrance. The last human she had swallowed had lasted a satisfying two weeks within her, a delightful indulgence that had only just come to an end. And now, here was a fresh offering, walking straight into her domain like a lost little lamb.

The jungle was full of dangers, but Kaagini was by far the most luxurious way to meet one’s demise.

Without hesitation, she struck.

A blur of scales and motion, she emerged from the shadows, her coils snapping around the stranger like a well-practiced snare. He barely had time to squeak in alarm before she lifted him effortlessly off the ground, towering over him as her golden eyes flickered to life, spiraling hypnotic blues and yellows into his dazed gaze.

"Do not fear," she crooned, her voice a sultry whisper. "I bring peace. Look upon my gaze and become one with me. Become one with peace."

The stranger groaned, blinking rapidly as he tried to resist. Then, much to Kaagini’s surprise, he sighed in exasperation and averted his eyes.

"There’s no need for that," he muttered, folding his arms despite being suspended several feet in the air. "I’ll give myself to you willingly. I know when I can’t get away."

Kaagini blinked. Well. That was unexpected.

Her swirling eyes faded back to their usual gold as she cocked her head, intrigued. "What is your name, my meal?"

"Kyle," he deadpanned, clearly not thrilled about being wrapped up like an oversized jungle burrito.

Kaagini’s lips curled into an amused smirk. "A strong name. I will take my time with you, then."

She stroked his hair with surprising gentleness before tipping him upside-down, his dangling feet meeting her waiting mouth.

The jungle soon filled with the soft, wet sounds of lips sealing around thick, meaty prey, accompanied by the heavy, practiced gulps of a naga thoroughly enjoying her meal.

Kyle, for his part, simply frowned as he watched himself disappear bit by bit. "You really like this, huh?" he mumbled, squirming slightly but not actually resisting.

Kaagini only hummed in pleasure, savoring the taste. The jungle's usual noises—bird calls, rustling leaves, distant howls—were temporarily drowned out by the rhythmic sounds of swallowing.

As his head finally slipped past her lips, darkness and warmth enveloped him completely. A long, contented sigh escaped Kaagini as she felt his weight settle into the first of her stomachs, pressing gently against her human abdomen.

She patted her belly fondly, feeling him shuffle around inside. "Allow yourself to relax within me," she murmured.

Kyle snorted from within. "Yeah, super relaxing."

The naga chuckled, her tail giving a satisfied flick as she began slithering deeper into the jungle, weaving through towering trees and massive hanging vines. Fireflies flickered around her, casting an almost magical glow as she searched for a good place to rest.

"Since you gave yourself willingly," she mused, "I will allow you to last for a week before you become completely one with me."

Inside, Kyle felt a blush creep up his face. Her voice was way too smooth for someone talking about something so horribly morbid.

He huffed, shaking his head. "I guess there are worse stomachs to be in."

Kaagini smirked at his response, finding herself rather entertained by her cooperative meal. As she coiled herself around a broad branch, high above the jungle floor, she let out a pleased sigh.

Yes, it would be a very pleasant week indeed.
