Both. I always leave it up to the viewer of the drawing to make that decision for themselves.
Since this is my vore world those strippers that do get painlessly digested will get reformed in a cloner so she can strip again.

I tend to use non-fatal and reformation myself where most willing vore is concerned - not a fan of killing off folks without a good reason.
Casual fatal vore and I don't mix too well.

Personally, I tend to use a reformation tube, or magic where the person reforms on top of their bed.

Mine in the simplest form, all females have a special implant chip in their heads that will download their minds into a new clone down once their old one has been digested. Their linked to a special net work that will always allow this to happen no matter where they are. On earth or in the universe.

Well, in my case, there are some areas where folks aren't used to predators, so it's rarely done there, but now that they have left their more isolated area, they are learning more about the wider world.
