This story explains the nature of a long series of recurring nightmares suffered by a one Carl Barrett, nightmares which are widely agreed on as the motivation for his "Human Dreadnought" project. This project, initially described on weblogs visible on the Internet and then later moved into absolute secrecy, is obviously the reason why psychic and magic abilities began to appear in human beings in the late 2200's and early 2300's, p
