A little step-by-step guide. I hope to be making more of these. The finished pic is in my requests folder. 1. Hand-drawn sketch scanned in. 2. Inking/Blacklineing the sketch in a seperate layer. 3. The finished line-drawing with the sketch layer removed. 4. Added a fifty percent gray background. All colors seem much darker when you color on a white background, so a gray background helps with that. 5. Basic colors blocked in.
