Actually, that's kind of the point. They were meant to be baffling, as if the translation/re-translation process had rendered the descriptions less-than-descriptive. For someone with an unlimited cash flow, curiosity might get the better of them.
It was originally meant for me to test the waters about what kinds of things people were looking for (while being as vague as possible).
