It was never enough for
them to just kill you. They couldn’t just strike your head off, or
skewer you clean through. They couldn’t just cut your throat or
tear you to pieces. Noooo. Every time someone came to kill her,
they always had to TALK about it first. If they considered
themselves heroes, they’d go on about how they were ridding this
land of this or that menace, or that they were on a heroic quest to
prove their valor to this or that princess.
