Very nice indeed! You use some phrases like 'little death' from a couple of fantasy series that I'm very fond of, which makes me wonder if you haven't chanced to read those, too! I don't think you had, since I'm sure we would have talked about them before, but still, very well-written, my friend. :>
If there wasn't a "Part One" tacked onto the title there, I might have been disappointed by the end of such a promising character! Still, years of browsing stories in galleries like this have left me wary. There *is* a part two, isn't there?

Yeah, this ended up so long that the editing was taking forever, so I split it up. Part two's about half done.
