Light comes forth to the most unwanted place, darkness fleets at it's coming. He opens his eyes to find morning greeting him, shapes around him gradually materialize into his room. Just another day in John's life as a so called man now, as he had just turned 18 and found that he could now do many things of which he could not have done before.
"Well, nothing planned for today. Maybe I ought to go see if the foxes are here yet. They usually come around here this time of year." He thought to himself after he had woken up a bit. His feet stepped foot onto the ground as he walked from his room to the kitchen.
"Good morning, you're up a bit early. You going to have breakfast or you going without again?" a female voice asked him.
"Na, I'm not hungry, I had a large dinner last night and that should last me until midday. Anyways, I'm going to go head out for a while to see if we have any new visitors yet." John answered in his usual half serious tone.
"Ok, although be careful. You know what they say about the foxes, a mysterious lot they are."
"Yeah, I know, supposedly they have some power that causes people to go missing. I've heard it before, but I'm still fine after seeing them before and I'll be fine if I see them again."
"Just be careful, ok?"
"I will mom, don't worry." John replied as he grabbed a granola bar on the way out just in case he did get hungry.
---
"So there really are other species than us out there, mama?" a young kit asked.
"Yes Jennifer, there are other 'species' than us. In fact there are a lot of other species out there than us, millions of them!" Mama answered back with some added excitement on the end to satisfy him.
"WOW, millions!?! What was that one species that you said to stay away from again?" Jennifer inquired.
"Ah yes, you must stay away from the 'humans' as they will hurt you. They are pretty tall, about four or five of us foxes stacked on top of each other, and they have no fur, with their color being either white or brown."
"Ok, so I will stay away from the humans. Thank you mama!" Jennifer replied and then scurried off to play with her other kit-mates.
"I really hope she listens. If a human touches him then bad things will happen..." The words rolled around in her head.
---
"Last year they were somewhat close to the cows on the far left of the farm. There was a good little den for them there, they might try staying there again. Too bad I didn't get to see them last time though."
He made his way across the back of the farm towards the cows and passed the various chickens, horses, and numerous other animals that were held there. He soon found that the den that he wanted to see and found it a bit further out of the way than expected. John got on his hands and knees and started to stealthily crawl into a bush and survey the area.
A forrest of trees were in front of him and about 500 feet behind him. Six reasonably large trees made a sort of half circle of protection for the smaller den in a boulder sized rock. Suddenly he heard a sort of barking sound come from the den that took him aback a bit but he managed to remain silent. His eyes were solely focused upon the entrance of the den, with his breathing controlled to remain as silent as possible.
---
"Jennifer, I thought I told you to stop that!"
"But mama, I want to go outside.." Jennifer replied in a begging sort of way.
"Jennifer I don't want you to try and find those humans, I thought I told you to stay away from them, didn't I?"
"Yes mama, but I wasn't going to try and find them, honest! I just want to go explore a bit, I've been stuck here ever since papa went to find food hours ago!"
"I know, but just try to hold out until he comes back, he shouldn't be much longer, ok?"
"But mama..."
"Jennifer, not now please."
"Fine..." Jennifer stated while she went to the back of the den in a dark corner.
"At least I found another way out and mama hasn't found it yet." Jennifer thought to herself as she squeezed through a hole in the wall and scurried off into a nearby bush.
---
"Did I hear something just now?" John asked himself as the bush started to ruffle and admit entrance to something. When a small fox kit came perfectly into view in front of him, although it hadn't noticed him yet. John reached out and stroked it's back once and then recoiled his hands.
The kit jumped back and gave him a warning bark before relaxing. The reason of the kit relaxing baffled John until he noticed that the fox was getting larger and his clothes had disappeared. This made him very anxious and alarmed, before he knew it the fox kit was double his size and looking at him hungrily. The fox kit had stopped growing, although that did not relieve John in the slightest.
"Hey now, what are you?" The fox kit asked curiously.
"Y-You can talk?" John asked very surprised.
"Of coarse I can! All foxes can talk! Although you don't look much like a fox.."
"That's because I'm not!"
"Oh, well I guess that makes you lunch then. Being that you are smaller than me and you do look good." The fox stated and then lunged and pinned John to the ground.
"N-No I'm not! I'm a human being and they are NOT meant for eating!" John replied, putting the emphasis on not while he tried in vain to struggle free of the foxes grip.
"Oh no, not a human! My mama told me to stay away from you... I guess food can't talk while it is inside me though. If I eat you then I'll never get in trouble!" The fox kit rationalized out.
The looming fox opened his mouth, John looked away in horror as the mouth engulfed his head. The tongue started to move around his head, tasting every bit of it before tilting his head back and swallowing, which brought only darkness to his vision. He felt his shoulders somehow get passed into the mouth and tasted while his head felt muscles pulsating around it trying to tempt him to go deeper. When the fox got tired of the taste of the shoulders and stomach she decided to gulp down the rest of him incase her mama had found about her leaving. John felt gravity starting to side against him as the rest of his body found it's way into the foxes mouth and subsequently down the fox's greedy gullet.
His head was the first to pass through the tantalizing muscles that gripped and released around his body. His head hit a hard muscle that was sealed shut, however it slowly opened and John was painfully forced through it and into the dreaded stomach. As the rest of his body caught up with him it slowly filed into the stomach and forced him into a fetal position. The stomach was forced to stretch quite a bit to accomodate it's new resident and John felt uncomfortable tight inside and started to struggle even more than he had on the way down, although he knew it was hopeless. The almost elastic like stomach could accommodate his every move.
"Wow, humans taste so good. They weren't nearly as bad as mama made them out to be." Jennifer stated as she rolled onto her back and started to play with her grossly oversized stomach that almost reached the ground while standing. She poked and prodded it for a while before leisurely making her way back to the den.
She made her way out of the bush, his stomach swaying to and fro with his steps, and ran into another fox near the entrance of the den. The fox looked over to her and looked very surprised at the site of her. The fox stopped and then motioned for her to stop as well.
"What the heck happened to you little miss?" The fox asked in a stern voice.
"Umm, well, papa I was just exploring a bit and ran into this human who was half my size... Mama said that I shouldn't be near them and I thought I would be in trouble if she found out about it..."
"This isn't good... You actually ate the human, alive?"
"Well... Yeah, I did..."
"Alright, come with me right now." He stated as he entered the den and then motioned for her to stay there while he talked to mama...
To be continued.
