The worst Nethack Game EVER.

THIS REALLY HAPPENED >:-(
 
 
The author smiled as he sat at the computer. He booted up his game, Nethack, and began to create his character.
 
After his recent failures, he decided to go completely prepared this time. Great armor, great weapons, a loyal pet...
 
He would go as a Knight.

"Come forth Pendragon!" Zelus told his steed, leading him into the Caverns of Doom. THe wild stallion was moving about, not wanting to go in, but the knight was insistant. "Come, I must ride forth into battle, and recover yon amulet for our lord!"

#ride. The author smiled as nhe put in the command. He rode horses before, the resulting game quite successful. As he was sure it would be today.

Zerus slowly made his way on the steed. But at the last moment, the horse bolted forward, sending Zerus flying. Now, if he had been clothed in anything but that armor of his, he MIGHT have lived.
 
But he landed square on his head, combining the force of the helmet he wore being bashed into his skull with the weight of his heavy plate mail slamming on his neck.
 
He didn't even have time to scream in pain.

"What... the.... HELL?!" The author said, as the next message he saw was that his great and powerful knight had died.
 
By falling off of a horse.
 
He sighed and cursed, and then he rememebred.
 
He was in a public computer lab.
 
The peopel around him stared, making him blush. But it seemed fitting after the embarasssing death that just happened, not to mention him finishing in near last place on the score chart. With what dignitiy he could muster, he shut off the computer and left the lab.
 
He vowed NEVER to use a knight again.
 
EVER.

As for the horse Pendragon. He would fare better, as he fled the dungeons and wound up on a farm, full of lovely mares.
 
No need to explained what happened to him!

(OH GOD I DID NOT WANT TO WRITE THIS! But it really happened. Word for word. I died on my first move in Nethack. The result was slightly exaggerated but... ah forget it, just comment on this. I PRAY I am not the only one who died in the first move in this game...)
