In this image, Matta and her mate, Gelar, are taking their babies out for a walk in the warm, breezy weather near Black Mountain. The twins, both female, are named Gianna and Helmi.

Matta and Gelar are both shamans of the Black Mountain neko tribe. Matta is a nature shaman, with magics focused on growing, controlling, and enhancing plant life. Her magic helped shape many of the natural tree homes the nekos off the Black Mountain tribe live in. Gelar is an earth shaman, with magics focused on aspects of stone, clay, and soil. Galya, the clan's adopted giant fire naga, has Gelar to thank for creating her lair at the base of Black Mountain.

Rosalak, the elder shaman of the tribe, had a powerful vision of the pair's unborn twins - seeing them in the future as mighty wielders of fire magic. Because of this, and because of Matta's close friendship with Galya, the giant naga was named clan sister to the twins just after their birth. Effectively, this means she has become a part of Matta and Gelar's family. And while she was always considered an honorary member of the tribe itself, Matta's offer to her cemented this status.

Matta, Gelar, and their twins first appearin the story titled Galya's Portal Problems.

She's THAT big? She's bending over at the hip and she's STILL as tall as him!

Heh, she's not that big. It's either perspective or she's standing on something - take your pick.
