... Centauresses, apparently. And for one unlucky girl who fell asleep in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I feel like I made a few small improvements, but I'm still not happy with the horse half of the centauress's body, among many other things. You thought my naga's butt looked chunky? You ain't seen nothin' yet!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means... but thanks, regardless!

Thank you for the comment and the fav! (I can also post a thank-you shout on your profile page, if that does anything)
I've been offering pic requests to users who leave feedback like you, because I need ideas to practice drawing. It will take me a few days to get the other requests done, but if you'd like to see anything and don't mind the chance of me butchering it horribly, I'd love to try!

I like female centaurs.
Posted by Rathe 12 years ago Report
So do I. Although part of that may just be because hooves are easier to draw than toes. I also like how tall they are, it usually puts prey at just the right level to be easily UB'd or AV'd.

I like them for the ability to eat prey, have a decent belly bulge and not be physically hindered by it.
Posted by Rathe 12 years ago Report
That is very true. I wonder what the prey feels, as the Centaur gallops away with their over-gorged stomachs? It must suck knowing that you're totally helpless, that even after being eaten you can't even pose minor inconvenience to your pred. More tangibly, the prey is probably swung around at high speeds as the stomach shakes, and I'd imagine a lot of stomach acid would be splashed around, as well.

It's probably more comfortable for the centaur than it is for the prey, that's for sure. Though a centaur would probably walk gentler after eating someone as to not upset the stomach.
Just a hypothetical thought.

Yeah, you're probably right. Might be fun to take your meal for a ride, though, even if you pay for it later.
Something I've always wondered about taurs, nagas, mers, etc is if they have a stomach in both halves of their body. It's sort of a trick question, because it depends on the artist, but a centaur might have a hard time lying down for a nap with such a large horse-belly hanging below her. Then again, having most of the wait of a horse plus half a human crushing you against the ground and stomach walls wouldn't be very fun for the prey, either.
More hypothetical thoughts.

Well, half-humans, half-creatures generally have two stomachs, though it does depend on the artist as you just said.
As for the centaur lying down, it could just lie down like a normal horse. Belly on the side.

That would indeed solve the problem, although I can't imagine a centaur or horse with a big belly could easily get up from that position. I doubt preds are a huge problem for centaurs, but say they see another fine meal and need to get up quickly to fill their human stomach... Oh well, I'm over-thinking things again. It's fun, though.

Well, pregnant horses manages to do it, so I am guessing centaurs should be able to do it as well.
Oh, here is an interesting fact:
Horses have a special system (tendons, ligaments) in their knees that allow them to sleep while standing upright.
I am guessing that could go for centaurs as well. Though, I am not sure how the human half responds to that...
Posted by Rathe 12 years ago Report
Perhaps they'd still sleep upright, but with a tree or cliff to lean their human half against.
Posted by Bright 12 years ago Report
Makes sense. I`d go for that.
