After being born into the world, Melody is quickly judged to be a insult to the Vampire Nation, but she soon shows the elders that she is much more than a mockery of their kind.
Well... most of them come to know her as 'Trueblood' vampire and all that means is they fear her like the plague since she can cure them of vampirism as well as completely absorb anyone whether they are human or vampire :)
No, they are completely under the impression she is a vampire because both her parents were vampires, but the fact that she has no blood, fangs or the thirst for human blood but steal needs to 'suck' out energy from anyone in reach of her leads them to believe the Trueblood even more :)
