This is a story I wrote several months back and thought I'd toss up on here.
Qilincupcakes and I have a similar idea with our VCafe stories....but in those, the "desserts" are willing snacks and they get paid for their work and have a life outside of the cafe. It's an all around fluffy/happy setting for the most part.

This verse is so much darker. The humans are forced into the roles and aren't given a choice if they wish to live.
My Faron are the "bad guys" in this, if you will......but in their defense, they simply reclaimed the land that had once belonged to them already before the humans had driven them out a looong long time ago. But times have changed and they've grown strong again and came back to reclaim their part of the world, taking out the humans that still remained....

Some, like Samira...are forced into roles that are extremely unfavorable. Sam is a meal companion. She accompanies meals ordered from the cafe she's from, whether it's in the restaurant or ordered as a takeout dinner.
Each meal companion is covered with protection charms and a retrieval spell. After the allotted time is up, the companion is teleported back to the cafe to be cleaned and prepared for the next order. It's a sucky life. ;//;

BUT....I have good plans for this setting ;//w//; so.....worry not. Requests have been made for me to do more with this....so I intend to. At least 2 or 3 more short drabbles...;w;
