You may think you're at top of the food chain, but there is always someone or something else trying to hunt you down.

And I finally learned the beauty of using layers! Yay!

Layers are quite magical :D
although it seems like the simplest thing it's actually pretty cool because it lets you work on specific things(like color) without disrupting other parts. I use GIMP and am thankful that feature is there. have fun!

Yep! I use OpenCanvas and I never used layers, I always thought that I don't need it. But it sure makes things much more simple :)

when I need to color lines, sometimes I will lasso along the lines, then switch layers and fill in.
the area stays selected while switching, which is awesome. no more jagged white border between!

Admittedly... Even though I mostly use MSPaint, layers make everything a lot easier when you want to do certain things.
Such as make something semi-transparent without messing up a picture (inside views), or getting those proportions exactly right, instead of guessing when you draw over (under?) the thing/character you just drew.

*Eep!* Pola! Look out behind you! =O

Nice work, Rac0r. Layers are great, aren't they? I use them in Photoshop for shading and opacity work when drawing sheer fabric for clothing designs. =D
