While swimming underwater, Jade-Scale was truly in his element. His elegant sets of fins gifted him with a grace in the sea that eluded him when walking upon the earth.

However, Jade was no match for a squid of the deeps.

How easily he was ambushed, plucked from his leisurely swim, how quickly he was ensnared in thick, powerful tentacles! Lined with puckered suckers, its strange grasp would have felt erotic on his scales had this been a casual encounter, it would not be the first time he had been pounced by playful little squidlets. But it was not to be. This was no small beast. And it was quickly becoming obvious that this beast meant business.

The water churned and bubbled as the reptile thrashed desperately to evade the grasp of his attacker, but even if he could have escaped it seemed like dozens of idly waving tentacles were poised to reclaim him. Beneath his kicking feet, the tubular mouth of the squid gaped widely, and with masterful dexterity the creature began to feed him inside.

Jade clawed at the water frantically as he suddenly found himself calf-deep within the thing's mouth, but it was of no use. Even if his feeble thrashings could propel him, he would only drag the tenacious squid along. It threw yet another tentacle around his body and sucked his tail into its maw with a single powerful wave of suction. He only had one free arm now. His body was useless. He was food.

Still... he would not give up so easily! He flexed his body with all his might, his encased legs shaking the squid around, but it was about as helpful as shaking one's foot to be rid of a sock. Truly, this was a garment the lizard did not desire to wear, but it had no plans to disengage. The rubbery mouth was undeterred, quivering as it crawled up the Argonian's torso, past his breastbone and up to his jaw, its insides suckling slimily upon their prize.

Jade let out a bubbly moan as his energy bled away. Tentacle tips danced and curled across the protruding remnants of his body, kissing his panicked face, tucking him neatly away. His arms were the last to go, firmly held so that they went down easily, his claws flexing in a last display of defiance. The proud lizard was just another link in the food chain now.

The squid's mouth drew tight, and expressed Jade into its digestive chamber. A witness could have made out Jade's striking silhouette beneath the layers of the creature's semi translucent flesh, but none was there to behold what took place that day.

Without any further delay, the squid, laden with its new passenger, gathered itself and jetted back down into the dark, mysterious world from which it came.

We both know squids have beaks, but we also both agreed this drawing would be nicer without one. :D I took a few other liberties with the design but tried to keep it familiar otherwise.
