There are several things in this world that I find disturbing. I'm not a fan of Bigotry and I believe people who are in a tough situation related either to bad health or poverty aren't necessarily there because they're somehow evil or undeserving. In spite of my making up imaginary bad rich people, I don't believe that money makes a person bad either. It does cause a huge discrepancy in available health care. It just does but I use it to develop a motive or an excuse.
This is going to be a two part story. There are things that others do quite well that I've never played with. We'll see if I can pull it off.

Money is neutral, the lack of or the gain of doesn't create a person, it only enables the person to be more of their hearts intent.

I agree. That's why I didn't want people to think that I believed that it did even though it's a fun theme in my stories. I imagine a two tier society of extreme wealth in the hands of a few and the rest is pretty miserable. The preds are both the saviors and the curse for the poor. They'd rather be seen as the saviors. They're an artificial species in the first place (In my imaginary world.)They also control a lot of resources but - I guess I kind of conveniently overlook that. They really want to eat the ruling class because the oligarchs are a threat to the food supply. What seems to be true is that politics in the U.S. seem to be more about money and who you can buy rather than democracy. That's very dangerous and it certainly scares me. There again, it depends on how one interprets what they see or read and it's often tough to sort out the truth.
No, money doesn't make people evil. Evil people can just do more evil if they have a lot of it. people can either create great things or just be parasites and rob people blind. By the way, I've modeled my real baddies on two guys from Grand Rapids Michigan. They are the founders of Amway: DeVos and VanAndel. They came up with the idea that if they added a product like soap or whatever to what was otherwise an illegal pyramid scheme, they'd soak up money like crazy. It wasn't illegal with the soap added I guess. You might say it was a cleaned up pyramid scheme (the soap of course)- I won't say that but you know - I'm just sayin. Get involved if you want. Just because I've never known anyone to make money selling that stuff... As for me, my ancestors were thrown out of the Netherlands for some reason I'm pretty foggy about. We pissed someone off.
