A question though, does the PDF cause the images to be 'shrunken'? Something that always annoyed me to no end with FaF's work and his stupid personal DRM software was that it took pictures big enough to fill my screen and compressed them a less than a quarter the size, and there was no way to see full size.

It shouldn't. We've made sure to keep the PDF files as high quality as possible. Even if compression occurred on some pages, we guarantee you it's certainly big enough to fill your screen. ;)
