I'm no good at titles, because Merinith is as dark a dragon as Leon ^^; so, I suppose it's a metaphor here too... anyway...
Here's proof that I'm not dead, honestly I finished this a while back, but I wasn't that happy with it... but, in the end the reason I don't like it is the same reason it's the first time I've portrayed Leon...
Anyway, it's a little short for a story of mine, the vore is explicit but not overly descriptive, and contrary to my norm, there is actually a cruel predator in this, but it's not too dark, little happens.
This piece is made due to request, for a very patient watcher who asked to see the prequel to "Hunting Merinith", so here it is, I hope it doesn't disappoint too badly.

Not good with titles either. Or Names, but this title suits the story fine.

I'm truly abysmal with names ^^; it's always been my biggest problem in writing as far as I'm concerned. Heh, as some people have noticed, I've accidentally used the same names a few times across the spread of my stories...

This is the prequel I requested for Hunting Merinth. Thank you! It was fantastic.

Do you have any other thoughts on where to go with Leon as a character?

DrakeZephyr

Leon, is a somewhat cruel dragon... I'm not sure he's sadistic, more, self-centered and thoughtless. He's still young, one can only hope he'll mature, but he's like one of those kids who likes poking and playing with little creatures who can't escape him. I don't enjoy writing him much, I'm unsure when, or if I plan to focus on him again...

Sorry it took me a while to read this. Its a great read, I always love these stories about Merinith, I just with I could write some about Videra. Unfortunately I have had writers block for a while

DrakeZephyr

has Merinith any human who he is friends with whom he would not eat even if he is hungry or close enough that he would protect ?

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 10 years ago Report

I would say so, yes, though he'd never admit it openly

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 10 years ago Report

ok.

and who is it?

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 10 years ago Report

Heh, specifics? Well, there's one he calls Tru, he'd play with that one, but cares more than anything for really. Otherwise I'd rather not say

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 10 years ago Report

Has Tru been part of any story or picture because I do not remember if I've read or seen him yet -_-

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 10 years ago Report

hmm, no, not yet really ^^; I'm always aiming to write vore when posting for these sites

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 10 years ago Report

I do not know, it feels more like emotional horror story with Vore in it.

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 10 years ago Report

um... noticed on my messages that you'd posted twice, so... maybe an edit? This comment seems rather out of place with our conversation. What are you referring to, this story in particular?

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 10 years ago Report

I deleted the first one because I misspelled on 'horror' -_-

I mean half your stories although it may depend on how you read them.....

for example if you look at the humans perspective in the Stories They experience a lot of emotions, horror, death, helplessness, hopelessness, sadness, torture, etc. etc.

DrakeZephyr

Well I never intended it that way, never intended that path even in the slightest. I try to write people realistically, and the actions of a predator fall into some of those catagories. Not sure where you got torture from though... yeesh
In stories where the dragon is the focal point, those closer to pure vore, certainly the human roles tend to be prey roles, and they are no more nor less than unwilling prey, like all things generally are. You take such negative connotations of the process it seems... I honestly don't know why you choose to take that spin on it.
In those where a human role is more central, what they feel is awe, yes fear because what fool wouldn't be scared in front of a dragon, but it's in overcoming these emotions that the story is told, not wallowing in them

when I read a story, I try to see all the angles in it. the good, bad, happy and sad in it and when I read them, I thought the humans in the stories made it emotionally.

In a way it makes them special

DrakeZephyr

I know it doesn't always come across, but I'm really quite soft hearted... I dislike the deep negative emotions, and I tend to intend my stories not be read in such a way. I mean many moments to be deep, or caring, even loving when it does end fatally.

what would the dragons do if 95% mankind disappear or die because of disease or war?

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 9 years ago Report

The dragons would do different things. The majority wouldn't do anything apart from just altering their hunting habits to what was more common as other species filled the gap, though I imagine they'd have a period of hard times with the humans out of their diet. Merinith specifically, I think would make a point of trying to safeguard the remainder to let them regrow. Maybe take the opportunity to take the whole species underwing to guide

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 9 years ago Report

That would be an interesting story to read

Dragons safeguard people and guide them...... okej O_o

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 9 years ago Report

Merinith specifically ???

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 9 years ago Report

Well, most dragons in my world (though I tend to write about the exceptions, because they're more fun) don't have much thought on humans. Not cruel, nor loving... purely predatory and prey, never exchanging words or such, their interests are elsewhere. To Merinith, humans are a hobby

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 9 years ago Report

lol -_-

e2s86

Posted by e2s86 9 years ago Report

hobby ?

what does he do?

DrakeZephyr

Posted by DrakeZephyr 9 years ago Report

He finds fun and amusement in humankind. It's the unusual quirks of humans that he spends his spare time watching and interacting with. When you're as long lived as a dragon, you need a hobby ^^
