Jagd enjoys the simple things in life. Food, sex, whatever primitive urges drive him from moment to moment. Despite his human appearance at heart he is still an instinct driven animal. The witch mutated his mind and body but his nature remains that of a shark. A remorseless killer through and through.
He can be just as scheming and cruel as the witch. He feels zero fondness or gratitude towards her and would love nothing more than to grind her between his teeth. The only thing stopping him is that he's all to well aware that he's dependant on her to keep his human form. And that knowledge only serves to make him resent her more.
He's got a permanent fast digestion spell cast on him, he can absorb his prey within minutes. The witch drains a bit of his life energy while she's resting inside him so he needs all the nutrients he can get. In order to switch between his human & shark forms he's gotta touch his shark tooth earrings. Right for anthro, left for feral...or was it the other way around?
His design is taken pretty much unchanged from a fancharacter i made. The anthropomorphized version of uhm...this guy: https://youtu.be/POHo8GJahcY?t=50s
You...maaay be able to see some parallels with that movie and Jagd & Cedna's story. Ehehe. Yeah i liked him so much i decided what the heck, BOOM he's an OC now. For further inspiration served characters like Lobo, Vegeta and old-school Wolverine. Bub. Apparantly i like men with really stupid hair...
As for his name, "Jagd" is simply the german word for hunt or chase. The german J is actually pronounced like the english Y like in the word "yeah", the A like in "bar" or "car" and the G is pronunced like in "good'. So the correct pronunciation would be "Yaghd". Having said all that, i tend to pronunce his name like the word "Jagged" without the E. Hence the username Jagged Jagd. It just sounds cooler in english. Jagged Jagd was also the name of one of my now deleted comics, but i liked the name so much it felt like a waste to use it for a throwaway one-off.
