Thats bullshit, straight and true.

There are some people out there that have nothing better to do than to complain.

If you like drawing, keep doing it, and don't let others tell you what you should or shouldn't do!

And, if you're worried about not 'being there' yet, so to speak, well, the same thing is true for all artists.
I dont feel like Im done, I have a bunch more to learn. And before I was where I am now, I had even more to learn. And the only way I got any better was to keep doing it.

SO no, I don't think you should stop. If you like doing it, keep at it! Simple as that =3

Probably because, in some sense, Deviantart is an ocean. There is a bit of everything there, and so its expected, even if subconsciously to have its bad fish.
The portal is more like a pool party. Sure, its a rather BIG pool, but even so. And its something, I suspect, you care about, thus rejection from people who supposedly also care about it, hurt that much more.
Same reason why its much more painful to be insulted by a friend rather than a stranger.

But, Im not a psyche-knowledge dude, so really, Im just guessing from my ass right now. =P

Still, I guess I should just say. Don't stop. If you enjoy it, do it, share it, and it will in time get to a point where you're happy.

Yes, but I never promise to do them, just listen (requests). If I get inspired or really want to, I will.

No (commissions). I took some way back, because someone in teh chat needed help with their medical bills, and sent the money there. BUt I suck at commissions, and I still have some that are like, from a year ago, still waiting to be done. So no, I don't take commissions.

Sometimes (trades) depends very much on my time and what its about, and how much other stuff I have that I've started ^^
