I don't think I've ever seen texturing like this before, it's really interesting! It looks just like a sketch pad.~
I thought this picture was on paper for a while - it has a really cool traditional feel to it.
I'm still trying to figure out if the grain spots are a uniform filter layer applied over the top, or if you used a specific brush for it and overlapped strokes to get the denser colors? I'm thinking the later. Either way it looks awesome. :D
