I would not really know how to prize them,
plus I kinda fear I will end up constantly delaying them.
Because of this I just occasionally accept requests or do art-trades.

That's fair enough. I guess if you do just price it based on time spent for your average art. I usually do $5 an hour for mine. Don't worry about delays either. Almost every commission I've ordered has taken 6 months to be finished.
