Cruel yes... But we all have our personal preferences~ I for one would have loved to see you remain a big spattered mess in my bedroom for a long period of time before you inevitably dry out like all the others. Heck yes it would! I'm so use to fatal situations that this junk would scare the crap out of me! If a prey is eaten it should stay gone! Though I can't change the fact that some have the ability to come back. XD
