Loafers aren't the worst of that though. I once had to walk down a muddy path on a rainy day in sandals. Mud kept getting between my feet and sandals, which also got stuck a few times. Eventually, I just slipped them off and carried them while walking the rest of the way barefoot.
I have done this! I like to walk in the rain and I like to go down allies with heavy green over growth. I have pulled myself from my shoes before, and it is not fun! XD I can agree with you there. Sitting on the side lines, it's wonderful! Being the one stuck however...
Apparently utilizing such coverings is common for mice and rats who've lost their sniffers. The guy on the left is adorable, too. Such a shame they're sinking to their doom!

What a shame to lose shoes like that. What kind of shoes were they wearing?

A shame, or a blessing? Sorry, couldn't resist! XD
Loafers, though why one would wear loafers to a muddy trail is beyond me.

Yuck! Yeah, fun to watch, definitely not fun to experience first hand. :3

That happened to me on one of my ill-advised journeys into the wild. A shortcut to the creek turned into a big marsh of boot-sucking mud.
It's fun to look at, but not necessarily to experience first hand.

Is that Thimblenose Ted?

XD No, but he was the inspiration for the noseless father.

<:3 Hey, they may make it out alive. :3 Or maybe the priest is giving them their final rites?

That may explain why they're so nonchalant. XD
