It has become a common practice among merchants, when traveling the badlands, to offer free passage to foreign visitors, in case they may come upon Hellthorn territory. In this event, the passenger is told to play emissary to the red-skinned satyrs, as the merchants then promptly leave, their bribe for passage being accepted.
Like all Zan'Zabiel satyr, the Hellthorn lack a spoken language, though have a unique way of communicating concepts and imagery to others through sharing their hallucinogenic narcotics. It is said that when partaking in these dubious drugs, even the mere fumes, that one may impose thoughts and imagery to take form within the smoldering haze, visible to others under the same inebriating influence.
