Archery, for elves, was something practiced practically from the time they could walk. Though few truly mastered the bow, even the least skilled of elves could normally peg a bird from a hundred yards. Piam could do it from a thousand, the furthest extent her elf-made bow would shoot. At close range, hitting the fox and likely killing or at least seriously wounding her in the first shot was nothing short of childsplay, Foolish creature - she had a chance to come back and have a trial like a civilized beastperson, but chose instead to open her mouth and seal her fate. Nothing less than she deserved, eating elves. Elves were not food.
Malura's signal was all she'd been waiting on, and the second it came, Piam casually readjusted her grip, pulled the bowstring taut, and in a split second, zeroed in her aim upon the the left side of the fox's sternum, just to the inner-side of her left breast. The arrow would miss her sternum by mere centimeters, thudding solidly into her heart. It wouldn't be an instant kill, but it would be close enough - the fox would bleed out in a matter of moments, and they could all go home, their desire for vengeance fulfilled.
It was a simple shot.
Twaaaaang
She loosed the arrow.
It was the perfect shot, the arrow flying straight and true. Even to her trained eyes, it was difficult to gauge it's speed, but that mattered little - she knew the shot would hit. Close range, full draw, and there was no creature alive that could dodge such a shot. Watching with almost casual disinterest, Piam watched the arrow close it's distance in that single split second. Watched the foxgirl shift her shoulders, as if to dodge it. Too slow. There was no way she--
--what?!
She hardly even saw the rest of the fox's movement, the speed hardly registering in her mind. There was just a shift of her shoulders, a sort of 'halfduck', a subtle twist of her hips...and the arrow, HER arrow, perfectly fired, thudded into the thick bark of a tree just behind the fox. She'd missed?
She'd MISSED?!
How?! How in--
"Foxskin? Mm, yes...you'll be wearing it sooner than you think."
There was something about the eager, excited way the fox said it that made her blood run cold. It wasn't a threat - it was a promise. A promise she didn't particularly want to see fulfilled "W-what?! How--" Slipping a arm behind the small of her back, Piam grasped another arrow - she had the opportunity to take one more shot at the fox. Maybe it was just a fluke? A stroke of luck. No way she could dodge a second arrow, it was simply impossible.
Unfortunately, she never got a chance to find out.

Felini simply stared, eyes wide, as Piam's arrow sailed right over the kitsune's shoulder. The speed with which the fox moved was extraordinary, and that intense, red glow in her eyes made her skin crawl. What in the hell? By all rights, she should have been dead, but...
Crud, she was charging! Gripping her dagger firmly, Felini stepped in to meet the fox's assault full own, even as Malura mirrored her action - they'd have to make this quick and decisive, or else she might actually injure one of them. Even just being a few days out from the city, this was not the safest place to be traveling with an injury, lest some other hungry creature decided to try it's own luck against them. No, they just needed to--
*Fwish!*
In a rustle of hair and tail-fur, the fox darted around both her and Malura, her outstretched hand grasping Piam by the throat, and as if the elf weighed nothing at all, she picked her up, tackling her into the underbrush. It was a split second, hardly enough time to even readjust their tactics - and just like that, Piam was gone, her panic-stricken cries echoing through the trees. She could HEAR the kitsune dragging her further away, putting a little distance between her prey and the two elves 'W..what?! Malura, we gotta get in there and find her! PIAM?! CAN YOU HEAR US?!"
The reply came in a high-pitched wail "HELP MEEE-Mmmmffff!"
A wail that quickly became muffled. Oh by the goddess, the fox was EATING Piam?! Surely not - not here, so close to them?! They had little time to waste - they had to find Piam and rescue her, and FAST!
Page three of our Foxy hunting comic! Though the eating has technically started on this page, I'll wait until the next one to fully describe it! Going to try a couple of perspective changes, just to see how good it turns out!
I wonder what happens next...>:3 And who ends up surviving this little hunt-gone-wrong!

Poor elf doesn't look like she's having fun! I think you're right though...getting all wrapped up in these foxy legs and arms, having a warm, fluffy tail wrapped around you....what's not to love?!

That, and two have a great view while Ryla's eating, and the other one gets to feel it for a bit before she's done being gulped down. Seems like the best of all worlds for them to me. :p

Yes! The next 6-7 pages are done, just waiting on me to finish writing for them. Had alot going on lately, so not had a massive amount of time. :3 Might dedicate some time very soon to get this next page up!
