After Kanako's faith dispersed itself through her disciple, Suwako was naturally the next to sacrifice her body for preservation's sake. The original Moriya Shrine gods were dead, and Sanae set her eyes and stomach on the competition. On the way over to the Hakurei Shrine, the self appointed goddess made a quick snack of those potato salesgirls in the forest. They went down fast, and their panicked claims of godhood while they slid down confused Sanae. If such weak beings were gods, then they should be grateful to give themselves over to the one true deity. They digested at a much quicker rate than the Moriya gods as a result of Sanae's stomach adapting to the new diet. By the time Sanae reached Reimu's porch, her belly supported nothing more than a tiny bulge.

Reimu regarded Sanae's presence with a small wave and a raised eyebrow. Sanae dropped Suwako's hat on the ground and started creepily murmuring something about "Ascension". Reimu simply shrugged at what she perceived as usual behavior from her, and turned around to grab the leftover tea in the kitchen. Sanae's hand struck out and grabbed Reimu's calf, tripping her facefirst onto the hard wooden porch. By the time she collected herself, her thighs were being gorged on by her visitor. The impassive anger at Sanae's inane outside world greeting turned into real fear too little too late. Reimu got one last look at the rundown shack of a shrine she called home before Sanae pushed her head past her lips with a single finger.

Sanae rubbed her quickly rounding stomach while sipping the remains of Reimu's abandoned teacup. For a few tantalizing seconds, the Hakurei shrine maiden gave her rival's stomach one hell of a fight, but the rippling torrents of acid drowned out her protests and her short life. The poorly received guardian didn't have any faith to give, but she had the power to assure the new era Sanae began today would go unopposed by the weak. Any impulsive individuals who'd try anything would join those old relics on the Moriya goddess' love handles.
